We fundraise using chocolate!
Chocs for Chance is fundraising initiative created by Fred Sirieix to raise money for Galvin’s Chance, the into-work programme for disadvantaged young people.
For the past three years top chefs and chocolatiers have created exclusive boxes of delicious chocolates for our special Valentine’s auction. Together, they have helped us to raise over £21,000 for Galvin’s Chance. That money has allowed 15 young people to take part in the into-work programme, helping them to secure permanent employment. Galvin’s Chance was initiated by Chris Galvin, Chef Patron at Galvin Restaurants and Fred Sirieix, General Manager at Galvin at Windows restaurant in 2009. Chocs for Chance is supported by Valrhona.
Fred said: “Galvin’s Chance is amazing because it is about the industry giving a chance to young people. We believe success is contextual and so if you give people guidance, opportunities, and support, they will succeed and that is why we do it.”
