Adam Smith

Adam Smith is the Executive Chef at Coworth Park, part of the Dorchester Collection.

In October 2017, Coworth Park, Dorchester Collection’s luxury country house hotel and spa was delighted to announce that executive chef Adam Smith of Restaurant Coworth Park was awarded one Michelin Star for “the accomplished, classically-based cooking.” This Michelin-star recognition followed an award of 3 AA Rosettes for the restaurant at the AA Awards and days before Adam was awarded a Master of Culinary Arts title by The Royal Academy of Culinary Arts. This is the UK’s highest culinary and hospitality honour only presented every four years.

Adam joined Coworth Park in the summer of 2016 from his role as head chef at The Devonshire Arms where he started in 2013, overseeing all food operations including The Burlington Restaurant, Devonshire Brasserie, and conference & banqueting. During this time The Burlington Restaurant was the only new restaurant to be awarded a coveted four AA rosettes in the January 2015 guide. From 2004 to 2013, he worked under chef John Williams at The Ritz, rising from 2nd commis to executive sous chef. As part of the Roux Scholarship which he won in 2012, he was given the opportunity to work under chef Yanick Alleno at Le Meurice, Paris another one of Dorchester Collection’s properties.

Adam has been described as ‘one to watch’ by chef Michel Roux senior and is a former Observer Food Monthly Young Chef of the Year, Craft Guild of Chefs Restaurant Chef of the Year, and Roux Scholarship Winner.
