William and his team will create a box of Nostalgic miniatures, all inspired by chocolate confectionary childhood favourites and featured in his new book ‘Nostalgic Delights’. The selection box will include, Jaffa Cakes, Vanilla Salted Fudge, Raisin Caramel Bars, Peanut Nougat Bars, Coconut, and Hazelnut Rochers.
Alongside the box, William will include a copy of his new book, signed with your chosen message.
Growing up in a small town in Fife, Scotland, William Curley discovered a passion for gastronomy and began his career with an apprenticeship at Gleneagles Hotel.
William then went on to spend many years at numerous Michelin-starred establishments with the most respected chefs and pâtissiers in the business including Pierre Koffmann at La Tante Claire, Raymond Blanc at Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons, Marco Pierre White at The Oak Room and Marc Meneau at L’Esperance in France. William subsequently became the youngest ever Chef Pâtissier at The Savoy working under Anton Edelman and leading a team of 21 pastry chefs.
William’s success led to the opening of the first ‘William Curley’ shop in 2004 and later the launch of the UK’s first dessert bar in central London. His chocolates and patisserie can now be found in the food hall of London’s most prestigious department store, Harrods.
William has achieved the MCA (Master of Culinary Arts). It is the highest accolade awarded to chefs in the UK. Making him one of only a handful master patissiers-chocolatiers in Britain.
Together with Alain Roux of ‘The Waterside Inn’, they are the only two British members of Relais Desserts International. It is the most prestigious association for patissier-chocolatiers in the world and considered by many as the equivalent to Michelin stars for pastry chefs. He was also invited to become a ‘Disciple Of Escoffier’, which recognises his achievements.
William Curley is four times winner of ‘Best British Chocolatier’ by the Academy of Chocolate. He is renowned for producing the most exquisite and inspiring range of handmade chocolates, patisserie and desserts. He is known for pioneering the use of only pure and natural ingredients, flavours and infusions within the artisan chocolate movement in Britain.
William has represented Scotland at international culinary events, winning Gold medals in Chicago, Luxemburg and Basle, and at the Culinary Olympics in Germany in 2004.
Since 2012, William has released three highly acclaimed books: ‘Couture Chocolate’ in 2012, which was awarded ‘Cookery Book of the Year’ by The Guild of Food Writers Awards; ‘Patisserie’ which was launched in 2014; and ‘Nostalgic Delights’ which was launched Autumn 2016 and celebrates the inspiration behind much of his creativity.
